Highgrove Green began with a vision — a blend of heritage charm and modern comfort. Inspired by the rolling countryside and classic British elegance, the client approached us with the idea of a narrowboat that felt timeless yet refined. They wanted something that turned heads on the water, while also serving as a peaceful, liveable retreat. The name Highgrove Green was chosen early on, reflecting both the boat’s rich, deep-green exterior and the serene sense of nature that guided the overall design.
After an unforgettable 2024 appearance — and proudly taking home the Haven Knox-Johnston Favourite Narrowboat in Show award — Kingsground Narrowboats is thrilled to announce we’ll be returning to the Crick Boat Show in 2025. Last year’s show was a real celebration of craftsmanship, community, and canal culture, and we can’t wait to do it all again.

The transformation of Moth began with the purchase of a much-loved Steve Hudson narrowboat, Rendezvous, through Lakeland Leisure Boat Sales. The new owner had a vision: to preserve the traditional soul of the boat while completely reimagining its interior to reflect their unique style. Working closely with the team at Kingsground Narrowboats, the goal was to turn this classic 61ft 11in tug-deck vessel into a warm, inviting floating home—retaining the charm of her original character while adding all the modern comforts needed for relaxed cruising and liveaboard life.
Crafted with the signature Kingsground skill and attention to detail, and designed and built to embody luxury on the water, we're thrilled to unveil our latest canal boat, Highgrove.
